Secret 13: I Own a Lot of Jewelry
Being a costume designer, I go shopping for a lot of clothes and accessories, and sometimes I see jewelry that isn’t right for the show I am doing, but I have to have it, so I have accumulated a jewelry collection of my very own. I have lots of sparkly colored brooches, Christmas earrings, Murano glass necklace and bracelet sets that I bought in Venice and could not bear to give away as gifts, and a host of other pieces. This photo only shows some of the pieces I have.
I guess if I were a drag queen I could get more use out of the stuff, but I save it to use in shows when necessary and sometimes I just take it all out so that I can enjoy looking at it. I have always been fascinated by sparkly things, and I especially love my jeweled brooches. I had a lot more stuff (of course) at the costume shop, but I have given most of that up and kept only my favorite pieces.

Jewelry for Sybarite
